Philip Nelson - Ward Chair, King's Cross
Philip was state educated before attending the University of Wales in Cardiff where he gained a degree in Economics. After Graduating Philip worked within financial services before moving into Financial Recruitment where he has spent the past 16 years.
Having moved to the King's Cross 3 years ago, Philip was appalled by how badly people in Camden were being served by the Labour Controlled Council and decided to become more actively involved in his local community. A Camden School Governor who regularly attends meetings of the Camden Police Consultative Group, Philip will be putting his name forward to be considered as a candidate in the Local Elections on behalf of the Conservativatives in 2006.

Barbara Douglas and Richard Merrin |

Local Government Officer Barbara Douglass is on the committee of the Bloomsbury Partnership, a member of St. George's Bloomsbury Parochial Church Council, and a volunteer at a local primary school, helping children with reading difficulties.
Barbara, a public relations consultant, specialises in textiles and interior design. She lives in a property under lease from Camden and her experience liaising with the Council on behalf of residents leads her to comment: "It is often difficult to resolve the most simple problems. I would like to see Camden taking more responsibility for day to day housing matters."
